Peels
A chemical peel is a technique designed to remove dead skin cells from the skin's surface layer and re-stimulate the regenerative process.
During a chemical peel treatment, a variety of chemicals are applied to the skin. The chemicals vary from alpha-hydroxy acids and beta-hydroxy acids to TCA (Trichloroacetic acid) or combinations. We often follow a mild peel with a mask containing anti-oxidants, high doses of vitamins, bleaching agents, and Vitamin A with amazing results.
Chemical Peels remove excessive buildup of dead skin cells, smooth and tighten the skin, lighten brown spots, diminish puffiness and circles around the eyes, and treat sun-damaged skin.
The type of skin peel and the intensity of the chemical peel solution are individualized according to your skin type, skin color, and the condition being treated.
Superficial skin peels are used for treating mild aging and pigmentation and are also used for rejuvenating and strengthening the skin. Medium-depth peels and masks are used for more serious aging and pigmentation problems.
In our clinic, we use an array of superficial peels alone and in combination. We use dermaceutic masks, spot, and Cosmo peel.
For serious pigmentation problems, we use our Spanish peel as well as Cosmelan.
